Every day, many innocent cows are left to suffer on roads, fields, and streets. Some are injured in accidents, some fall sick, and some are abandoned simply because they stop giving milk. These gentle animals cannot speak, cannot ask for help, and are often treated with cruelty.
Shiv Ananta Foundation is a dedicated cow shelter that rescues such cows and gives them safety, food, medical care, and love. Under the guidance of Ujjwal Mishra, the foundation works day and night to save cows who are injured, abandoned, or left to die.
Most rescued cows arrive in very serious condition — with broken legs, deep wounds, burns, or infections. Many of them would not survive without timely help.
A True Story That Shows the Reality
One day, the team received information about a cow who had been abandoned because she stopped giving milk. Her owner left her on the streets, and she started wandering in search of food.
Hungry and helpless, the cow entered a nearby field to eat grass. Instead of showing kindness, someone threw acid on her. Her body was badly burned. She was crying in pain, unable to move, and fighting for her life.
When Ujjwal Mishra heard about this, he immediately rushed to the spot. The cow was in extreme pain and very weak. Without wasting time, she was rescued and brought to the Gaushala.
The treatment was long and difficult. Her wounds needed daily cleaning, medicines, and constant care. For many days, the team was unsure if she would survive. But with proper treatment, patience, and love, the cow slowly started healing.
Today, she is completely safe and healthy. She walks freely, eats well, and lives peacefully in the shelter. This life was saved because someone chose compassion over cruelty.
But sadly, not every cow gets help in time.
The Biggest Challenge We Face
Shiv Ananta Foundation is doing everything possible, but there is a major problem.
There is no operation theatre inside the Gaushala.
When a cow meets with a serious road accident or needs urgent surgery, the team has to take her to a hospital far away. This causes:
• Delay in treatment
• More pain during transport
• Higher medical costs
• Risk to the cow’s life
Many cows could be saved if treatment was available immediately at the shelter.
